An unforgettable vacation awaits at 33 Bluestem Street, a charming 3-bedroom WaterColor cottage located directly across from Long Leaf Park in the Lake District. A welcoming front porch with two hanging porch swings leads to an open living and dining area with airy vaulted ceilings, tongue and groove wall detail, and gorgeous pine wood floors. The kitchen features Thermador stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and backsplash, custom cabinetry, and a large breakfast bar. A spacious first level master suite offers a private screened porch and an ensuite with dual vanities and a separate walk-in shower and soaking tub. Also located on the first level is a king guest suite with shared bathroom that features a shower and tub combination. Just up the stairs to the second floor, an additional bedroom hosting two sets of twin bunk beds plus twin trundle sleeps a total of 5 with an adjacent loft area featuring a daybed with trundle creating the perfect oasis for kids or teens.

33 Blue Stem Street--outstanding vacation rental

What a wonderful week in March with our kids and grandkids— 33 Blue Stem was the perfect base for our crew of 9—this place is beautifully appointed, situated in the peaceful Lake District of Water Color. We loved the kitchen— better-stocked than any house we’ve ever rented. We found everything we could possibly need for a great vacation—the upstairs bedrooms were perfect for our kids and teens, there’s a back deck with table and chairs, a master screened-in porch, plenty of plush towels, new washer and dryer—and everything was immaculately clean. Our street ended at the State Park, where deer peacefully grazed; a beautiful pocket park was located across the street and we were only a few steps from the Frog Pool, which the kids loved; the house’s two porch swings were a great place for our morning coffee and a tranquil resting spot for the cool of the evening. In between there were bike rides (4 bikes provided with house), trails to explore, unique shops to visit (golf cart provided), several unique pools, many restaurant choices, the food trucks at Seaside and front-row chairs oceanside at the Water Color Beach Club (beach chairs and umbrellas set up for us, etc). We were also close enough to run down to Pier Park one evening. After the busyness of each day, the house on Blue Stem became our tranquil and welcome retreat; it also boasted fast fiber-optic internet, which the older kids especially enjoyed. The beauty and amenities of Water Color are unrivaled. We’ll be staying at this house again next year!
