While you could probably spend the entire day soaking up the sunshine, there’s so much more to explore along 30A. To truly immerse yourself, look no further than the local art galleries and studios, try your hand out at sushi making or professional sand sculpting with private classes, or broaden your senses with thoughtfully curated wine tastings. Whatever you choose to do while you are here, let 30A speak to you.

Rock Paper Scissors - There's something for every age at Rock Paper Scissors, where kids can let their creativity run wild. Kids can visit during open studio and pick an art project to complete, most ranging from 30 minutes to an hour. You can also stop by the studio and purchase a take-home kit, which comes with project materials and a YouTube instructional video to follow along.
The Shard Shop - This trendy make-your-own-art boutique offers classes in ShardART. The studio sells glass, resin, supplies, and tools, and is open for studio time daily. ShardART is a modified mosaic technique that allows you to enhance a painting with shards of glass, shells, or other treasured memories! When you are finished laying out your glass on a pre-painted canvas, your masterpiece is later covered with resin by one of their CRTs (Certified Resin Technicians), and pick-up is available the next day. There is a take-home kit available should you prefer to do this in the comfort of your 30A vacation rental.
30A Sandcastles - Obtain “SandCastle Success” in this unique attraction. Family fun for young and old (and everyone in between) while learning professional sand sculpting tips and techniques to build 3 ½ ft. tall sandcastles!30A Art Walk - On the first Friday of every month, several South Walton art galleries host a First Friday Art Walk. On this night, galleries stay open late (usually until 8:00 PM). This is your opportunity to see new artwork, meet the artists, and enjoy both refreshments and live music. Entertainment and discounts vary from gallery to gallery and change monthly, so you never know what surprises you’ll encounter at the Art Walk! Below is a list of participating galleries, traveling east to west along 30A. Please note that some galleries only participate seasonally, so it’s a good idea to call them beforehand.
Glass Deer - Explore the time-honored arts of kiln-formed glass, flamework, and glass blowing. Glassworking is a fun and exciting way to get in touch with your creative side. Whether you’re an accomplished artist or a complete novice, glassworking is a wonderful experience that can lead to a lifetime of enjoyment.
Sundog Books - Sundog Books is a local institution. Grab a book (perhaps by one of South Walton's resident authors), and then hang out in the little nook upstairs to escape the Seaside crowds. You can also find Official 30A Gear here. Upstairs, Central Square Records frequently hosts both local and visiting musical talents.
